that's a real nice hog. i might have to try those ideas. what i've always done is just kinda walk around and find out where they are and dump out some regular corn. where i hunt i don't have to worry about deer eating it. then in the late afternoon just walk around the area real quiet and often you can walk one up. i'm kinda scepticle about them having a good sense of smell, because the last time i went i was about 50 yards or less up wind and it didn't have a clue i was there. but hey. i ended up not shooting that one because she had piglets. but i just walked around a swampy area until we walked one up. it worked pretty well because the hog just stopped running at like 15 yards to look at me. if i can figure out a way to do it i'll scan on a pic. just wondering. what part of year do ya'll think is the best for hog hunting?
