justin deer are a lot smarter than given credit for, I have seen deer barely move while fertilizer was being spread, while wood was being cut with a chainsaw, etc. they know who to avoid and when. Heck I have even heard of deer heading in the direction of a chain saw because they know once the cutting is over with there may be some munchies for them.
