My favorite quad tire is the goodyear mudrunner.They seem to offer the ultimate combination of traction,ride and longlife but they are very expensive.It is for that reason that I decided to try the gators and I am quite pleased with them.They seem very close to the mudrunners as an all around tire but for much less money.The bearclaws are decent tires but they aren't as good as the gators in mud or muskeg and they do puncture more easily.The gators do measure smaller than the rated sizes but the 26x10's on the front and 26x12's on the rear do work very well.They seem to be a good balance of traction and floatation and yet they do not require too much extra power to turn.
