My season in MD is from April 18th to May 23rd.

I am workinga 3-11 schedule so if I really wanna put forth the effort I can be out every day until noon. I "SHOULDNT" have a problem getting a bird on the ground now whether or not I do is another question??? I will give it my best!

Sounds good to me, you'll get him! I'm just ready to hear some gobbling. Hopefully it'll be as good as last year for me down at my place. I usually average about 3 a year, but I'm not accepting anything less than my limit of 5 this year. I was on the Tominators in '07 when we won this thing, and it looks like we got some guys from last years winning team, so we oughta do well. Season starts in 24 days down here.

I put in a day almost every weekend, and my family seldomly comes home without a bird, they are pests here in CA. Last year was a flook, i only got one bird, a nicee big tom lol. My season starts the last weekend in march. I cant wait to chase them gobblers. So lets see some pics of your guy's pictures of birds, and here team names suggestions. Also id be willing to be captain if nobody else wants it.

Yeah we're gonna be in the hunt for first place before it's over with. Nice pics too, those Rios sure are some pretty birds. How many birds do you expect to take this year? I hope to get 5, but I'm gonna go with my average of 3 birds.

Finally checking in, can't wait to get started.

Huntnteen good to see you again too, hope we can repeat as champs again. My spring won't be near as exciting this year. Taking my little boy to TX to hunt rios next month, I only get to hunt Nebraska for merriams and the easterns here in MO. Good luck to all and looking forward to it.

probly two or three, depending on whos hunting with me. I may have a couple first timers come out in which case i let them shoot, but if they arent there i can take out some monsters. If they are still around, last year we say a double beard, triple beard, AND bearded hen all on the property. And all i hunt are rios here in Cali, exept one one property i have called in a flock of merriam's for my brother-in-law's first bird

I spent half my season last year trying to get my buddy his first bird. I called up 2 nice toms and we belly crawled within 30 yards of one in a field, he missed all three. He had his chance, and I'll call for him again this year, but not until I get my 5 birds! Sounds like you got some nice ones out West there, good luck with em! DTC, is that bird's beard draggin the ground? I can't tell if that's the end of his beard and there's a shadow, or if that joker's beard is THAT LONG. He's a nice one for sure. Good lookin bird for you as well hunter! I'm pumped, it's gonna be a fun one!

He has a good bird on him but I doubt it is much over 10 inches. There were 4 toms there last year and I killed 1 of them. Iknow that there are 3 3-4 year old toms and that doesn't include all the jakes that will be 2 year olds this spring.

Hey guys were moving right along with people checking in, way to go all!! it wont be long we will have to get a captain and team name!! I dont have much ofa history with turkeys. I just really started getting into it 2-3yrs ago? I took two jakes(whoopie) two years ago and last year spent most of what little time I got out behind the camera for a buddy of mine.

It should be different for me this year, as I should have all sorts of time to get in the woods!!

I will nominate huntnteen as captain. He was our team captain last year for Team 19 Gobbling Thunder that took home the crown and he did an awesome job.

Myself, 1st year hunting turkeys, using the Bowtech Patriot from a blind.
Hunting second week of the season 3rd week in April for sure, maybe more if I get hooked;)

self taught turkey hunter of 7 years now. I didnt kill too many the first 3 years of my run and learned A LOT from my mistakes, but the past four I've been knockin em down.....kinda got em figured out, plus my calling has progressed. My dad took me once when I was 14 or so and I was hooked. Ever since I could drive I havent been able to stay away from the turkey woods, its a true passion. I hunt in east alabama, near cheaha mountain. We have around 600 acres that I hunt along with a few buddies every now and then. I'll be takin my 870 super mag and my 06 parker hornet this year. Already got this year's stick blinds made, AKA death traps. I'm pumped, ready to run away with this thing!

my biggest is a 3 year old with an 11" beard, 1.25" right and left spurs, weighing 24 lbs. Got him two years ago i think, maybe three, can't remember. Arrow, I got one on my place that's been running around on me for about 3 years now. He's got at least a 13 or 14" beard on him, no lie, he's scary big. Hope I can look him in the eyes this year! What's your biggest?

hey fellas sorry i havent been on much ive been working night shifts..well im from pa and i am 19 and work at a hospital i have been a self taught turkey hunter since i was 15 i shot 3 gobblers over the years and shot a hen this spring weighing 21 pounds..my biggest bird in a 9 1/2 inch beard and 1 inch spurs on both sides. turkey hunting is my life and i love it i am proud to be on a team with you guys and lets win this thing..deep fried is a good name and i was thinking of some such as... Gobble Gooble Boom.. The Strut Kings and the Runners N Gunners but whatever team name we decide is fine :D
