Well my season ended Sunday with me getting busted by a couple longbeards, and a double bearded monster standing 10 feet on the other side of the property line. First season that i have not gotten a bird.


On a side note, i need to get everybody's addresses for the stickers

Our season shuts down Sunday and it is supposed to rain all weekend. I bet my wife will back out now. Oh well, it has been a fun year for me. I got to watch my 6 year old kill a rio in TX. I killed 2 merriams with my bow in NE. Filled both my tags in MO. Watched my son kill a big tom in his papa's alfalfa field and finish up with my wife shooting a bearded hen 150 yards from our house.

Sounds like you had one hellava season there DTC! Congrats! Now it's time to get the stands ready for deer season!!!!

Mastevt it sure was alot of fun, I love the spring time but you are right I am putting out trail cams this week.

Well, I see i am the low man out, lol. I have my last 5 day season starting Wed. AM. I can sit before work this week, then maybe some time Sat. Sunday is a no go, but I have some time before then.

Well guys i put a bird down on the ground yesterday May 20th at 7:30. Its not the biggest in the world but ill take it since this is the last week to hunt. This has been my toughest season ever. Well heres the story.

Went to a spot i never hunted before and heard to way up on top of the mountain. Then they shut up. Sp i made a move into my honey hole where i have killed birds in the past. I called once and was cut off so i sat right down an the gobbler came right into 20 yards and i gave him some #6 shot.

Stats
Beard: 6 inches
Spurs: Right and Left 1/2 inch
Weight: 15 lbs
Score: 37
