those are some big ones. especially for mountain deer. how are your deer numbers in your area? compared to say, ten years ago?

Numbers are down but not too bad. Private land surrounded by thousands of acres of SGL. The access is very limited to the SGL, though. Maybe two or three roads for a 54,000 acre piece. The deer roam a lot, though, and can be hard to find at times.

If we can shoot a 250lb buck with 150" of antlers and drive 1.5-2 hours to the coast to catch marlin, tuna and mahi mahi, what's so bad about that? We also have some of the biggest black bears on the continent. How long does it take you to drive to the beach?

haha i did see a big bear both this year and last year, bigger then I have ever seen hunting in PA before, they must be growing everyhting bigger!
