RE: Any Washington Deer Yet
I spent the last week in the Okanogan. It was pretty slow this year, just needed the weather. Out of the 5 of us we only ended up with one deer, a 20" 3x4 on the last day. I saw 3 nice bucks but just could'nt get a shot. The best one was one I spotted bedded at about 325 yards. Just couldnt get the shot before he spotted another hunter coming up the draw and jumped up and bounced up the hill. It was pretty open country so I tryed to keep up and watch him to see where he would hunker down but he found a doe he was fond of and after 2 hours I watched her lead him to within 50 feet of that only other hunter on the mountain. So from 1000 yards away I got to see him shoot it 3 times in the butt at close range. It turned out to be a 5x7 about 26" wide. That's huntin though, ya win some ya loose some. I did like it better a couple years ago when I was on the other side of that equation though.

Just returned from two weeks just on the east side of Stevens Pass. Weather was great if you wanted a sun tan. Didn't get good weather till the middle of last week. Saw a bunch, but nothing legal (3pt or better).
Skunked, and besides that, some jerk stole my chainsaw, axe and hatchet out of camp.
There's always next year. (Note to self, lock up the chainsaw)

Well the geral season is over and I got skunked to. The worst thing about it! I couldn't even fill a doe tag [:@]. Theres late buck and the weather should be more on my side. Congrats to all that filled their tag. For those who didn't, we still have the late buck in WA.
