Default Looking to upgrade....need help

I'm currently filming with a Sony HVR-Z1U. I love it in low light but the 12x zoom just isn't cutting it. I've filmed several times with the V1U with the 20x zoom butit just doesn't cut it for me in low light. I have a few friends that used to film with the V1U and switched to the Canon XH-A1 and love it in low light.

I was pretty much ready to buy the A1 until I saw the A1s. It seems like the general concencous is that the $1000 difference for the A1s isn't worth it.....and now I am very confused and not sure what camera to get.

decisions...decisions.

As someone that has only been filming hunts for a couple of years now....I'm looking for some advice from anyone with more experience that could lead me in the right direction. My budget is $4000 to $5000.

Anyone???
Thanks!!!
