Default Blazers with small diameter arrows

Do any of you guys have trouble getting good fletching contact while fletching blazers on small diameter arrows with a helical? When I do the fatter arrows everything lays down fine.

I have them on AXIS 400's and FMJ's and had no problems. Even had one pass thru my shot up 3d buck and everything still looks good.

I did have some troubles when I switched from GT hunters to Easton Epic ST's which are a bit slimmer. Took me a second to adjust my jig just right but now I'm getting good contact again.

I fletch Blazers on Beman MFX 400's. I had to do some adjusting but after a couple dry runs w/ no glue on the vane I got it pretty good.

One tip that may help....I don't put the base of the vane up tight in the clamp. I let the vane sit about 1/16" from the jig jaws so it will give a little and bend around the shaft when you put pressure on it.
