It's ballistically a 9.3mmx62mm or a 9.3mmx74mm and offers NOTHING they don't. If you want to compare to american rounds,if an animal is too big(???) for the 35 whelen, step up to the .375 ruger.

Marketing??? They are going to have to do a heck of a lot of it to get this one to sell.
Profit?? I think they are going to loose their butt.

If you do not believe me then just look at what happened to the price of an inexpensive Winchester 94 when they quit making them. Or just look at the prices of the 1886 & 1885???
I agree with you, as I stated I do not believe the cartridge will be long term successful. But the hype can work. Just look what they did to shooters and hunters with the 17HMR. They got us to buy all the rifles in the 17 HMR cartridge and sold all that ammo to hunters who already had a 22 magnum!!! Now ain't that a hoot!!! Tom.

IMHO This round will flop.
I am suprised that the 338-06 never caught on. Weatherby at on time chambered a 338-06 in there ultra-lite rifle. I am kicking myself for not buying one.[:@]
