I am not sure if you realize how many hundreds of thousands(if not more) of collector's there are out there. Especially collector's of brand specific firearms. They will sell tons of these rifles to collector's alone. These collector's will not even shoot these rifles. I personally know a half dozen Sako collector's, and every one I know will buy this rifle to "complete their colection". I am not defending this action, I am only pointing out that it will happen.
If you do not believe me then just look at what happened to the price of an inexpensive Winchester 94 when they quit making them. Or just look at the prices of the 1886 & 1885???
I agree with you, as I stated I do not believe the cartridge will be long term successful. But the hype can work. Just look what they did to shooters and hunters with the 17HMR. They got us to buy all the rifles in the 17 HMR cartridge and sold all that ammo to hunters who already had a 22 magnum!!! Now ain't that a hoot!!! Tom.
