chemical suits???

RE: chemical suits???
For those of you saying the black dust is not that bad, you must have gotten a better suit than me. Because I washed mine first, then wore it and looked like a coal miner for 2 days. I took 3 showers a day and still had dust coming off of me. Someone said they are hot and they deal with it, but what is the point of having a scent reducing suit if you sweat so much that there is no advantage to wearing the thing. I still stand by my recommendation that they are not worth a penny. If you can get one free to try out, go for it. I wouldn't spend money on it though. The best scent control is to play the wind anyway. Do that and you can wear whatever you want.

RE: chemical suits???
The chem warfare suits you guys are talking about were manufactured by the lowest bidder. I've worn those things off and on now for the last 16 years (not hunting, at work). They're hit and miss as far as getting dusted by charcoal but if you get a decent set they're a suitable economical substitute for the gucci scent lok stuff. BTW, the Air Force now has chem warfare flight suits (pilots coveralls). I hear they're of higher quality than the current garb we're talking about. If it's made like a flight suit I can vouch for its comfort. If I could just get my hands on some...

The place I saw them is sportsmansguide. For those of you that like yours, where did you get it from? Also, for those that don't like them, where did you get yours from? I am sure some are better than others. $20-$30 bucks doesn't seem too bad to try them out, but I want to get the best one I can.

RE: chemical suits???
Deception27, I bought mine from sportsmansguide. Others have metioned how hot they are. I dont really think that is an issue for us in IL. I like the british suit alot better. I take mine when they are new and was them by hand in the tub. I then hang them outside and right before I go hunting I put it into the dryer to actavate the charcoal. If you wash the british suit in a washer it washes to much of the charcoal out of the suit. Like someone else mentioned I like it even if the charcoal doesnt work. They are great bowhunting suits. Someone else metioned that there suit smelled like vinegar. I really cant understand that since they come shrink wrapped in the original package.
