Default Shot a few bows today

Stopped in at the bowshop today with a friend because he was looking for a new bow.
Shot the following bows...

Elite Synergy
PSE firstorm X
DXT

Elite - This bow is FAST. The cams come to full poundage almost immediately, but it is surprisingly smooth drawing. I thought it vibrated a little bit at the shot, and had a fairly loud THWAK sound as the string hit the suppressor. My least favorite of the group because of the noise.

PSE - This little bow is pretty neat. Its not very fast, but its low vibration and recoil. It almost felt like a youth bow. The grip is fantastic. It did feel weird shooting a bow with a shorter ATA than my draw length.

Mathews - Again, too short for my taste, with my draw being 30". I can imagine how far the arrows in a quiver would hang past the bow. Nice bow, but not enough difference from the last 4 or 5 years of Mathews to impress me much. I remember shooting a Q2 when it first came out (while personally shooting a pse 2 cam), and was just blown away by the dead feel and low noise. Just goes to show how much bow technology has improved.

I didnt see an upgrade over my General with any of those bows, so I'm still shooting it. As for my friend? He still hasnt stopped raving over the elite. Go figure, different strokes for different folks.

If he likes the Synergy, he should shoot the GT500 or Z28. The synergy is 2 generations old.
