Default Does anyone have the new Savage smokeless?

I am in the market for a new gun and the Savage seems to be the gun I like. Just wanted to know if you like it and any complaints or recomendations. Thanks

Default RE: Does anyone have the new Savage smokeless?

why smokless?....is this a new powder for black powder?....personaly i have a T/C hawken .50 flint....now that's a black powder gun....I M O i don't see the hoopla about inlines, scopes and the such???....i just got into it this year when i bought mine in sept....here in pa they call for a flintlock for late season muzzleloader....i got a good deal on mine at $413.00....if i'm going to spend money like that on a gun i want to use it as much as possible....in ny on opening day on the 17th of nov, out of 16 of us on the mountain i was using my flintlock in the rain....it went off and got a doe....only saw three deer that day.....nobody else saw many deer let alone any bucks....so i guess i was lucky.....................bob
