My go to rifle is a browning a-bolt composite stalker .308, topped it with leupold dovetail bases, 1" rings and a Leupold Rifleman 3-9x40
I reload everything for it. Factory loads cant be trusted all the time because I have had several with damaged cases or no powder even before I shot them.

My other rifle is a remington 700 adl synthetic .300 win mag topped with the same base/rings/scope combo that the .308 has except the scope is a Leupold VX-I 3-9x40
The gun is no longer in production since remington had to be retarded and replace it with the SPS. The ONLY difference in the SPS and ADL/S is a hinged floor plate a the checkering is cut a little different but not enough that you could actually tell. It too gets all handloaded ammo.

For deer I use a Remington 870 with rifled barrel. Here in my part of Ontario you can use a shotgun or muzzleloader during gun season. Up north you can use rifle and I want to buy a big game rifle soon.
