This sunday I woke up and heard something in my kitchen. as I'm laying in bed thinking," oh, It's prably just a mouse", my lab gets up to go investigate. The next thing I hear are his toe nails scratching accross the linoleum tile. I run out to see what he's chasing and running at me is a little red squirrel. When he saw me he headed for downstairs but then half way down he jumped up on to the railing and sprung accross the livingroom, jumped 7ft straight up, climbed a deer mount, sat in between the brow tines and stared at me. meanwhile my dog thought he went down the stairs, so he was gone chasing nothing for 10mins.
I was thinking nobody is going to belive this, well luckily I had a camera close by so I snapped some shots of him. they are on a disposable but I'm getting the pics printed tonight. so check in back later to see the pics. they should be up by 7:30 central time. ie 8:30 estrn, 6:30 mtn and 5:30psfc. has any body else had wild animals in their house?? we also had a brown bat and a tree frog. the squirrel did get out, I opened up the back door and coaxed him out.

lol well that's something you don't hear about much. The closest experiences I have had to that was when I was younger, about 7 or 8. There was a snake that decided to make a home in our garage; My mom was the one who found it and i think i'll always remember hearing her scream about that one lol (know its mean to laugh but still)
The second and last was several years later when my family and I were staying at friend's house at the beach. I was eating breakfast and there was a vent probably just a few feet away. I never heard it come out but my sister said "oh my god there is a huge rat in here!" Which turned out to be an possom. It took my dad a good 10 minutes to finally capture it and let it go outside. Looking back at it, i'm glad it didn't decide to bite my foot.

we had a raccoon come in the dog door faithfully everynight to eat out of the dog dish. we couldn't figure out what kept eating all of his food since he gets locked in my bedroom with me for the night. well one night we decided to sit up and we watched the little critter come in, take a mouth full and a handfull and turn around and walk back out. five minutes later she was back for more until the dish was empty. we figured she had babies to feed, so we didn't mess with her.

at least I'll have the memory!!
