You are wrong on the no cougars in ohio thing actually where i live there have been cougars captured on video within about an hour of my house and there have been other sightings around our area
The gamewardens say they don't exsist
so if you see one you can shoot them because they are supposadly not in ohio but they sure are here

Have never been. Kinda sad considering I live in one of the most cougar hunting friendly states there are. (year round season, 2 cats per year, hounds allowed, any weapon). I have never been in contact with anyone who could put me on some cats. The least amount anyone will even charge is about $1500 or so. I am planning to get my own hounds within the next year or so, and start running cats on my own.

Might wanna post your question in the BigGame forum...I've never been. Cougars don't officially exist in Southern Illinois, but they do
Wardens deny their existance but say IF there were cougars they would probably have been brought in to control coyotes. Sounds like crap to me. More than one person who I trust has seen them. If I ever see one, and have something with me big enough I'll give serious thought to "harvesting" it.
