Default Science Fair

I know this has nothing to do with hunting...but owell. My science partner(my g/f) and I have to do a science project. We have got some ideas....but we need something awesome. We are like the smartest people in our freshman class, and the teachers are expecting alot. Any Body got any ideas ??? Please tell....

I'm a biologist, so I love questions like this. Yay that you care about your studies. Why not incorporate your love for the shooting sports and do something related to ballistics (bullet/shot trajectory)....you've got physics right there.
Or you could always go searching for a new plant to name after you and your g/f. Just joking.

how about a potato cannon i made one that on a good day will shoot 200 yards. Im not kiddin either. its a monster it stands about 3 1/2 feet tall.

I know from experience in the science fair department that they are for the most part anti-gun past the school level. If you have the time, a great project deals with the removal of oil from either enviroment situations or furs/feathers to simulate animal cleaners. Use motor oil and then try to clean it up with a variety of things, soap, detergent, etc...

do like myth busters find a myth and solve it, dont do a potato gun they are very dangerous. My great uncle lost an eye with one and schools DONT LIKE GUNS.

I agree with Mrwake. That would be interesting, but I don't know what myth I would do. Let us know how it goes.

we had a teacher in 8th grade that let us build a potato gun as a project for her class...we had to plead our case before the principal but we got permission to build and shoot it as part of the project...we ended up shooting a crow with one of the potatoes
