Default First gun experience!

Everyone remembers their first gun! Mine was a Daisy Red Rider Lever Action BB Gun. I used to take it on toad hunts in the early morning fog. I once limited out in 1/2 acre in about 10mins. What were some of your favorite first gun memories!

Nice story TB...lol

My first personal gun was a Winchester pump, .20 gauge. I bought it with my own money for $250.00-when I was 13.
I used guns long before that though, but that was "my" first gun.

My first gun was also a Red Ryder BB gun. I think the first "real gun" I had was .410

As for shooting wise, I honestly don't remember what the first non-BB gun i shot but i do recall a time when i was about 5, doving hunting my dad. We were with a bunch of friends at the time and it was later in the season so it was pretty slow. Either i or my dad asked me if I wanted to shoot his gun, which was a 12. Browning Semi (which now is almost as old as i am). There was a soda can near by and my dad helped me shoot it but when i did, naturally everyone with hearing distance turned around in a hurry lol. I also have a similar story to TBs of slaying toads. During the summer time i would go out in the backyard at night armed with my BB gun and a flash light and shoot cockroaches lol.

For my next shotgun (I still have my dad's old shotgun as well as a remington 870) I would like to get an Over/Under.

my first gun was a Red Ryder BB gun I got it for my 5th birthday. I had shot other guns but this was my first personal gun. Then I got a .22 and a 16ga. Right now I still have all of those guns and I also have gotten another .22 and a .243.

My first gun was a Red Ryder BB gun I got for christmas when I was 12. Then my great uncle gave me a 6.5x55 Swedish and a Browning Semi .22 which are both sweet guns.

My first "real gun" was a 22/410 I loved that gun, I gave it
to my sister this year for a christmas present.
I had the gun for four years. My first BB gun was
a RedRyder. I shot it at a tree and it bounced off and hit me
in the arm.
