Yep- watch out for the pregnant ones. Congrats, A baby is the best thing that ever happened to me, tons of great moments.My wife is going to have our second in late Feb the good lord willin'. The first one was born in May several years ago. I must be lucky cause each time the pregnancy has waited till after a season, spring gobbler the first time and if all goes well late quail this time. Here's what I did about hunting and wives.
When i first married my wife it was late November. 2 weeks prior, the rut was on and I was chasing a monster. I left a note on the door about going hunting be back after dark. I wrote the note on a shopping bag that came from a reputable jewelry store in my town.
Now she couldn't get too upset because she knew I had something for her. When my first boy made his announcement that he'd be here in 9 months I asked my wife what all she wanted done to the nusery. That is a tricky question and watch out for what you might hear. I was told to put a new floor, ceiling, walls, and re-wire a room in our old house. I managed to get it all done barely before the next May and hunted the whole Fall and Winter and Spring Gobbler season. I staged the remodel to always get a part of it completed just before a trip to the field that weekend. The second is on the way and she wants an addition or to move to a bigger house by Feb.
I'm headed to Montana tomorrow for a week but last weekend my wife got a new dishwasher and disposal and I met with an Appraiser Monday to figure out how much I can get for the property or what I can borrow to do the addition.
Do you see the pattern? My wife associates me hunting with her getting something she wants. Give and then take.
If you and your girl get married I pray you have a wonderful life, Remember that marriage is like a garden, sometimes even through all your efforts there isn't much success and sometimes with little tending you get lucky and everything is bountiful. Every season is a chance to start again and there is always something to learn from each season. Best of luck. Time to be a man.

Man, I feel you. Not many girls will like hunting and those who do are rare. I would explain to her that hunting has been a part of your life for a long time and it is a family tradition. Something you were raised with.

I know that I would rather go hunting!

if it was my girl and she had a problem with me hunting, id get a new girl. there would be no way i would ever give up hunting b/c my girl didnt like it. you may choose to give it up b/c you arent that much into hunting and if thats the case then i wouldnt lose my girl over something that i didnt love to do.

well there shootem up i wont give up hunting for no one it is my life nexted to my baby thats on the way i take off 3weeks of work so i can go up to my cabin an hunt every day
