Default .22Lr and 17 Hmr meets a Jeep !!Pics!!

I had a model of a jeep sitting around so me and my cousin shot at it. the gapping holes are from the .22lr and the smaller circular holes are form the 17hmr. the shots were from about 30 yards. the jeep had a plastic bottom but the rest was all metal. Poor metal

I found it strange how the .17 did less damage, i was expecting some more explosive effects from the ballistic tips. It was fun though.

The 17 goes in small but tears her up on the inside trust me! Thats also assuming (most likely) that gopher is shooting the ballistic tips.

i can assure you that when the .17 hits meat it is awesome.i have shot beavers, armadillos and coyotes and none have gone past the point of impact.this with the cci hp and the hornady bt.i have never thought such a small bullet could cause so much damage.i never shoot cans or toy trucks since the shells cost about .20 cents a piece.you can tear a squirrels head up with a .22 hp,but you can take it off with the .17.

Frick ya, the .17 makes short work of anything but whne it comes to solid objects like the jeep or a WD-40 can, ot just doesn't do much at all. You would think it would fragement and tear it up but it don't. With the jeep the .17 can knock it flying a bit but the .22 was the one tearing it apart.

alot of people don't think that .22s are that powerful. have you seen what one has done to a gallon of water?
