hi i am new to this fourm. i am 14 year old guy and i live in pa. i love the outdoors. i have been hunting all my life and i just wanted to say hey and you have a great forum here.

i was wondering what kind of gun/caliber do you use to hunt deer with? i have been using a 243 model 70 pre64 with a 3-9x40 leupold varxII scope. yet i am going to be buying a new rifle and wanted to know what every one was here shooting

I use a 30-06 with a redfield 3-9x scope. 243 is plenty big enough though, thats what i killed my first two deer with and they went down in no time. Im a big remington fan though, so anything by them. Especially the ADL model rifles or BDL.

My gun is a Remington 700 Mountain rifle. great little gun. detachable magazine. beautiful walnut stock. short and sweet. matte finish. .270 Win with a leupold vari x II 3-9X on it. that thing drives tacks and i've killed deer out to 260 yards with it. Big Green IMO makes the best guns out there.

i use a remingtion 870 express magnum for deer. in illinois we cant shoot deer with a rifle.

I use a winchester model 88 in 308 with a weaver 4x scope, a sporterized 8mm Mauser, and a Knight Disc in 50 cal with a simmons aetec scope.
