I'd like to think I know a fair amount of stuff on deer-but not hunting. Don't even know where to begin-from the points a deer earns to how to use the 'deer horn' as it's called around here.

I'm not so interested in hunting, because I realize this will take awhile to even get a gun. I'm more interested in stalking with my camera and studying them-how to get closer.

I live in a gated community with two nice forests close-by where I want to set up blinds or something so I can 'be there'. Anything about how to lure them to a spot, and the best times to go out and stalk.

BTW, right now I'm in Fl if it helps.

make sure you wear camo use cover sent to cover your oder. You might want to try useing calls you lure them in. You could use salt blocks, just put them were you want the deer and some time they come to that every day. You could use peanut butter too use it the same way. When you make blinds on the ground make sure you have good background cover so or outline doesnt stick out. And make sure you keep your movement to a minimum. And always keep the wind in your face.

Can you recommend a scent?

I've planned to get two salt blocks so they're either close to my home, or at a closer forest. I've got the blind supplies set up, I just have to make it-but I will make sure everything makes sense.

I don't have camo yet. (AHH)

There's a taxidermy and a hunting shop not too far away from here, so I'm confident I can get anything I need there.
