RE: turkey hunting with a bow
That was one reason i like vortex over rockets, the steeper blade angle on the vortex kept it from passing through as easy. Those rockets are killer on deer from what ive seen, but just about every vortex ive seen leaves a huge hole, but doesnt go through. I dont know what the deal is either. Im going to try and get as many spine shots, or some sort of bone shot, i can. That gives it a little more stop. Thing with turkeys is that its not anchored to the ground by 100 pounds of meat and bone, its only like 20 pounds. So, they're more likely to be knocked over and react more to a shot than a bigger animal(by theory, of course). I wonder if those gobbler getters from N.A.P. with the more rounded tip work any good?
