Default PETA strikes again...

The history:
My family owns an 8 yr oldsiberian huskie that is blind and anarexic that jumps our 6' fence and enjoys running around the neighborhood.

The story:
She jumped the fence last sunday while my family and I were at church. We looked all day for her and never found her. The next morning we call the animal control center in our area and asked if they picked up a dog last night that fit the description. The lady who answered the phone said that they picked up a dog that matched ours and that she would go get her ready for us to pick up. 5 minutes later we get a call that the dog had gotten loose and they had lost her. We found her later that day happy as could be!

Today she jumped again, and the police called us saying that according to the regulations that they follow given to them by PETA that since she had a "history" of running away from us-even when they know she comes running to us if she hears our voices-that they would have to take her away from us. And since they had picked her up once already the lady on call gave my dad a citation for "mistreatment of animals" when it turns out that this is the same lady who had our dog escape from her in the middle of the night![:@]

Just want to hear your thoughts...

Is the lady a member of PETA? That sounds more like an city/police code rather then PETA.

But it gets better...
woke up this morning at 7 to go to ballroom practice (yes I am a guy and I'm not gay and yes I CAN DANCE!) only to look out my front door to see no less than 22 PETA members blockading our home waiting for our dog to jump the fence so the could illegally confiscate her. Personally I wanted to introduce them to my new benelli semi-auto 12 gauge[>:], but instead we called the police and they got cited for "public disturbance" and to top it off the lady who works for dispatch that cited my dad got suspended for 3 weeks for unorderly conduct of business![:-]
