Default What about anti friends...

I would like to know how y'all deal with friends that are anti-hunting?

I have 1 friend that is vegetarian and says that killing is evil while he wears leather shoes and belts...[:-]
He also thinks that human kind could survive without meat...[:@]

Another kid (not a friend in the least[>:]) shot my bird(african guinea fowl) when a mink got through their outdoor enclosure. Happened to be my last female also...then he blew up the body. he wasted some of the most delicious bird meat in the world. Then his dad thinking that my mom wasn't home comes to my house starts swearing and yelling at me because I wanted his son to pay for the bird that he shot. Then he noticed that my mom was listening in the kitchen. they paid 1/3 the price of the bird, then he went on to say that it "shouldn't have bothered a bunch of murderers in the first place. You kill more animals every year than the rest of the neighborhood combined!" At that I was angry (because he didn't understand anything about game laws and license and all that stuff) to the point that I was ready to grab my shotgun and rid the world of this evil fiend.
and yes...he is a liberal...

so how do you deal with jerks like this?

There's no such thing as an anti-hunting friend. As for those other jerks......You could have called the cops on that guy that came onto your place and yelled at you. As for me, I think if some !#$%@#$ came to my house and started swearing and yelling at me I'd punch his lights. Which could get me jail time probably, but knowing me, I think I would have done it anyway. Good luck, and I'm glad I don't know of any antis that live right around here.

lol....Grant.....I agree that antis are usually not good folks...but a lot of kids (especially girls) are jaded by Bambi! We need to educate them. lol....but I feel bad for the people that are against us because they don't know any better...but if they are hardcore antis....they are worthless

I dont have any friends who are anti hunting. I dont think ive met an anti hunter to be honest. Well there was once at the hospital i met a lady who thought guns should be illegal cause they scare her, but in a big city like tulsa thats understantable to meet someoen like that. I cant have a friend who is anti, most my activities invovle hunting and fishing or shooting sports. Being a vegetarian isnt a bad thing, i have a friend who is but he doesnt oppose others eating meat or hunting for that matter.

You should be careful what u say on the internet. Also grabbing your gun would of been the worste thing you could of done, hope you where kidding. Even grabbing the gun and threating or pointing it at your neighbor could of resuslted in some big time trouble for you bud.

i have a vegetarian friend and i made it very clear long ago that he would respect my way of life and i would respect his and we wouldn't talk about it... worked so far...

for people who just don't know when to shut up... then i out-wit them... i can be very sarcastic and people really can't stand me when i am because i turn the fight around on them and make them look dumb so they give up and leave me alone without either of us being the better for it either than the fact that i didn't get mad... i've learned one thing... you can't introduce a person who is trying to attack you about your way of life to your way of life so why try? just name a common ground and stay there

Most of the people i have known arent really anti hunting but not really for it. I think the best example would be one of my ex girlfriends. She hated it with a passionate but was supportive of me hunting. Never could figure that girl out no matter how hard i tried. In the past i have gotten to close to fist fights with the anti hunting peps in High School. Guess me being blunt didnt help either lol[>:]
