Default Quadrunner Accidents

How many have you been in? I have crashed my quad or flipped it three times the first time I had my buddy on the back and I don' t know what I was thinking about when I decided to climb this enbankment and it flipped on the spot my friend ended out of the way but all I remember is hitting the pavement of the road with my helmet and I tried to get outta the way then the quad landed on me. I ended up nothing more than a sore arm and a few cuts. Then the second time I went flying down this road downhill and it turned and I hit the side embankment and the left tires just flipped like it was doing a spin in mid air and i landed on the ground and my quad kept going lucky I wasnt still on it and no damage to me on that one either. Now my last one I was riding through this creek during the winter and was coming home late and it was really dark but at least one of my lights worked and I was flying down this road that meets a cross road like a T intersection and I was looking towards my house off to the side and all the sudden I met the intersection really fast and hit the brakes but ironicly they were wet and I slammed into this 8ft square hole fence that also had barbed wire strung across it and I ended up with a buncha cuts and a nicely broken arm in the middle of DUCK SEASON! but oh well I lived!! So what are your stories?

I have a few accidents. The first time i had ever rode a four wheeler, i kinda lost control and drove into a tall cornfield. Got out fine. Second one, when i got my four wheeler, I had to turn around on a narrow hill roll. Rolled the quad, i hopped off in time. 3 accident, i was riding through tall grass toward our house, i looked up at the house, then realized there was these old concrete blocks in front of me. So i swerved, my left front tire hit, and i lost control. I didnt go off, my tire got a hole and a bent a rim. I hit he handlebars hard and knocked the wind out of me.

Once, me, my cousin, and myuncle were riding my uncle' s Kawasaki Mule 3010 in the woods. My cousin was doing about 30, maybe 35 downa hill, when he realized the road turned jsut a litle to go over a ditch. well, he didnt makethe turn, and hit an embankment head on. I got the wind knocked out of me from the seat belt hitting, we all had our belts on or we would have been seriously injured.

Well boys, I suggest you be a little careful with those things. I am said to say I buried a good freind and hunting partner last month. He was fishing with some friends in the back woods when he fell behind the rest of the group. Trying to catch up, he went around a corner on the trail and somehow slipped to the side(they think) and fell between the front and rear wheels. He was killed instantly, he was only 25 years old, had just bought himself a bigrig and a new home. We miss him a lot. So, please guys, watch yourselves out there and do be careful.

wow, you have my condolences RB. Having those couple minor accidents has made me a much safer rider, as has taking ATV safety class. Gotta always pay attention when riding those things.

It' s serious stuff for sure. I was coming out of a creek (on an incline that was nothing compared to what I' ve done in the past) and flipped. It happened so fast, I was unable to kick away. I ended up in intensive care for 10 days and a total of 28 days in the hospital. Fractured every bone in my face and had a trach for about 2 months. Be careful and never ever ride without your helmet.

there is a field next to our house and at the edge of the field there is a 10 foot bank that is part of our lawn... i like to go a little fast and go down the bank and it kinda slopes back up pretty quick so i can jump our driveway... one night it was wet and muddy and the brakes aren' t the best... i say i was goin about 40 and put the brakes on a little, they didn' t catch and my quad (honda400ex) launched off the hill and slammed front first in the pavement and rolled 4 times. I jumped off in mid-air and didn' t get hurt but i hit the driveway pretty hard and messed up my 4-wheeler.
