Default Adrian Peterson

Let me start this by bringing up the fact that i am a HUGE Green Bay Packers/Texas Longhorns fan.

And the reason for the thread:

Is everyone else out there as impressed with AP as i am?

I watched him in college, and he was GREAT (1,900 yards as true freshman), but he was always getting hurt and i didn't feel that he was going to have much of an NFL career. I thought injuries and would see to that.

I was not surprised at all that he fell to #7 in the draft.

Then his rookie year came along and he ran for 1,300 yards, won Rookie of the Year and had the single greatest rushing game of all time, running for 296 yards.

Sweet i though, another player to come and give my Packers fits (all i could think was MOSS) for years.

His 2nd year? 1,700 yards (led the NFL), another pro bowl, and solidified his place in history by being 3rd place all time for a 2nd year running back in rushing yards.

Then this season roles around. Everyone has him for MVP. The Vikings added Favre and are Super Bowl favorites. Forget the fact that my Packers have a stud young QB/WR/RB and a new aggresive 3-4 Defense.

What does AP do in his first game,

Run for 180 yards, 3 TD's, and one of the most replayed runs in NFL history:

I can't seem to catch a break from this guy, he has been tormenting my teams for 5 years now

.....did i mention i chose him #1 in one of my fantasy drafts this year
