Things that take you back

Here are some songs that bring me back:
This one brings me back to my third grade year. I remember my grandfather in florida, who was a Vietnam veteran, would drink while listening to this song. Alice in Chains rocks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vpH5i3xD7tA
One of my old lost favorites, recently rediscovered: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ezejRp08RvE
Used to listen to this song with my Uncle Mike before he died: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKROlUWkbsQ
My middle school crew's signature song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mAxUIjJrFKQ&feature=PlayList&p=038 15D0CC56BF440&playnext=1&index=1
In kindergarten, me and my dad would blare the "Toys in the Attic" album from Aerosmith. We would pretend we were playing guitars with pieces of 2x4, jammin to this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pkof9ioyd1s
More that takes me back in a week or two

different things take me back.
1) every time i see morgan i remember how we ended up becoming friends (and only she will understand why thats worth remembering
2) every time i see a commercial for Sick Kids Hospital i remember random flashbacks when i was there for my heart surgery.
3) when ever i hear a noise out in the bush i remember how much i would rather be at my cottage
4) when i see the movies Madagascar, Nemo, Over the Hedge, and movies like these i remember every line that my sister can repeat when she is trying to sound like the characters
5) every time i hear the word walleye or see a walleye i remember fishing out on lake erie almost everyday in the summer with my dad
thats all i can think of for now but i no there is more

The song "He Walked on Water" by Randy Travis reminds me of my grandpa. I miss him dearly.
Mesquite trees and red clay remind me of my home in southern Oklahoma.
Looking at my first bow takes me back to the beginning of my archery career, and I am always flooded with memories.
Being in my grandma's house fills me with memories from my childhood.
100+ degree heat reminds me of summer, and fishing for catfish on Elk Creek.
Seeing old Dodge Dakotas takes me back to the days before I had a license, but I still drove all over town.
Talking to ex's always brings back memories, good and bad.
Visiting my family plot at the cemetary takes me back, and I am always flooded with my history, which I am proud of.
Reading OLD posts on here takes me back. lol
"If that ain't country" by David Allen Coe takes me back to my last two years of high school.
"Hillbilly Deluxe" takes me back to the days of drag racing in downtown Hobart, Oklahoma.
I try my best to fully embrace my past, while staying fully focused on my future.

Good post!
There are things like cruising the backroads where me and my grandpa used to travel it seems like daily to go out to his woods. There is also the smell of the Marb Red's he smoked, and as much as I do not like smoking, the smell reminds me of those truck rides with the man who solely got me into the outdoors.
There are songs that take me back, but way too many to name that go with all sorts of things.
The smell of the October woods... self explanatory.
There are so many more, but these come to mind immediately
