Initially I was going to stay away from this thread… but I think you should do some fact checking before saying something like this…. Maybe even your dad as well…. It all depends on the class of vehicle... ( Diesel or Gas?... Crew Cab or Regular Cab?.... V8 or V6?... 4x4 or 4x2?... tongue trailer or gooseneck?.... see what I'm getting at? ) you should elaborate a little more. Saying: "ford can tow more than chevy." isn't an accurate statement.
