Default Xmas for our Troops

I usually start a topic in here to joke around or for something stupid but i want to get serious for a little bit. This is a topic that really comes straight from my heart. We all have been or our families have been spending away on gifts for christmas. We are all looking forward to waking up on Christmas Day to open our gifts and spend time with family. While we are opening gifts and spending time with family, there are over 200,000 U.S. servicemen and woman in Iraq and Afghanistan fighting the global war on terror, and many more hundreds of thousands in countries abroad.

I've had many family members in Iraq, one of which has served 3 tours and recieved the Bronze Medal with Valor. Currently my best friend is over there in Ramadi, Iraq. He's going door to door doing raids looking for insurgents. He's about the only person besides family i would take a bullet for, in fact he's like a brother to me. We all know of someone that has been over seas and heard how hard it was for them to be away from family. This is where the point of my post begins, i ask and urge you all to please give a little money to organizations that benefit our troops.

Write letters, send christmas cards to let them know we fully support them and to give them a little bit of a smile while they endure hell. Heres a link to the USO where you are able to send care packages, donate money and send and donate international phone cards so these wonderful men and woman can give their families a call over christmas. https://www.uso.org/howtohelp/makeadonation/sendagift/ We all have so much to be thankful for, and those men and woman in uniform are the reason why. Always include our brave men and woman in your prayers at night, they need as many guardian angels as possible. Merry Christmas everyone
