how many of you all are hard core about ice fishin!?? i cant wait. we should have good ice in a few weeks now!

I like ice fishing but I'm not real bog into it. Maybe if I had a better auger and a real ice shack, it might be more fun. I hate drilling a hole with the $@@%$ hand auger, then freezing my butt off try to catch some fish. lol

I am horrible at ice fishing...

We don't get ice till Jan/Feb. Were lucky if we even get 6 inches. I love it though

By feb, we probably have about 3 feet of ice here lol.

6" is enough to drive on if its good black ice! we'll be one about 2-3" opening day

I like it, just not hardcore. I don't do it as much due to the fact that I like to snowmobile. We will have ice thats 3 feet thick every year, and this year, there was 3 1/2 feet in late March. The winter gods came in force here last winter.

Never ice fished, would love to try it sometime though.

I've never done it before, never much of a fisher. I do like running the 4-wheelers on the ice tho! And even better is hooking a ski rope to them and sliding behind!

It is pretty fun but we havent gone much the past few years since it hasnt been cold enough or we are busy pounding geese. that and the lake is 30 miles away, and you all know how the gas prices have been.
