Haha my specialty

Well if you do not have catfish, you could simply make a trap with a thick and long piece of string. Put a large treble hook on one end and tie it to a dock or tree on the other. Use meat, pieces of fish, or liver for bait. Check periodically.

If you do have catfish, then you could go out and buy a turtle trap, which looks a long hose net. You can use the other method as well, but check it more often in case you get a catfish instead of a turtle.

A third method would be to catch him with your fishing pole and a fourth would be to catch him with your hands.

Ive had success with all 4.

*** As a note, this is for Snapping Turtles, and possibley Softshell's
