Promising News Perhaps
I received some awesome news tonight!!! Some of you may know that i've talked about going to college but just couldn't afford it. Well a radio station i listen to(104.7 WIOT) in toledo, about 55 miles away was sponsoring a contest with a local Community College (Owens Community College) where they will be giving away two grand prizes of 1 year paid tuition and 4-6 prizes of 1 semester paid tuition along with some other prizes. Well i got an email tonight saying i was a finalist. There are about 200 finalists in all so my chances are slim to win but i'm excited. I have to show up at their campus for the finals on tuesday so wish me luck

My husband helped talk a friend of ours into going to college to take on a career. There are all kinds of financial aid, Pell grants, student loans, etc.
I wish you luck on the contest, but if you don't win, please go down to the school you want to attend and talk to someone in financial aid.
