i shoot a mathews and really would not shoot anything else but if your looking for a lower cost bow that IMO is very comparable to the top brands is AR like skybuster said

AR is archery research, a knock off of PSE, but i didnt know they were still around, very good bows

i wouldnt call it a "knock off" cuz the quality is as good if not better then pse itself but its where pse does its research and trial and error and development. its like diamond and bowtech

If you want a bow comparable to a Hoyt, go with the Reflex line. Their parent company is Hoyt, but they are a cheaper branch, just like AR.

reflex good?

reflexes are very solid bows, when i shot them i liked them a lot.
still my advice to you when you go out to get a new one, go to a couple different shops, and shoot as many bows as you can. get whatever you are most comfortable with.
