Just how big does that buck have to be for you to take him. I believe that your first buck can be the first buck that you see, but once you have taken a couple shouldn' t you let the little ones pass?

Let em go Let em grow

i say let em walk if they are a small buck. like a small 4x4 or under i will let walk until the last week. and then i still watch not to take nothing to small. i think that the 3x3s will turn into good bucks you just gota let em walk

welcome to the board,
I think with the first buck or mabe two that anything should go just until you get a few under your belt and learn how to hunt. then i think you should let um go let um grow. Im done shooting little bucks. im goin to wait till a nice 3X3 or 4X4 buck comes by.

With my bow he has to be atleast out to his ears with decent tines and decent mass. With a gun he has to be a good 8 or better before I will shoot.
