Exactly, mommy and daddy aren't gonna pay for everything the rest of your life. It's time to show some responsibility. I bought my car, i pay my insurance, i pay my cell phone, i pay the water bill, i pay for my clothes and hobbies,i help pay my Medical Bills from my Gastric Bypass. We need MORE parents that make their kids show some responsibility and less parents buying everything for their kids :eek:

hahaha no kiddin! i have a mortgage, phone, cable, internet, oil, water electric,taxes, two vehicle payments, insureance onmyself myhouse, car, 2 trucks, 2 snowmobiles, 4 wheeler and all my guns. life changes fast when you get your own house. thats why i stay home instead of going out partying every other night and on weekends like i used to. get into too much trouble. stuff that they wouild take your house for these days.gotta grow up sometime bud!

only reason to have a cellphone: girlfriend.

you shouldnt want anyone to be able to get ahoold of you THAT badly. now if they have a cell plan you may be able to get on theres, i got a cell when i was 16, and i joined my sister's plan because she had over 100,000 minutes rolled over, and was rolling over 1500 a month, and it cost me $10 a month to get on

ummmmm.....i posted in this thread 3 times, all lengthy and informative posts! but wont allow me to post them for some reason so i give up in this thread! i just want to say its kinda sad that somany people think they CANT live without a cell phone! you dont even need a home phone, its a convinence to you, not a life suport! you NEED your heart to live not a phone!

you want it you buy it, thats the aproach my mom had on me and i hated her for it. now im in college, and thank her for it everyday, casue i am so much better off than every fool here who had everything bought for them and had no concept of money. they are all now in huge debts, and owe money on there educational loans!

well i would have to pay for phone and i think half of minutes and all if i went over
i dont want them to buy it for me i will buy it myself
i have to buy everything i want hunting stuff, ammo, etc.......... except the dirtbikes and 4 wheelers my family got a few years ago

I don't pay for my phone, but I bought my Explorer, my streetbike, and my dirtbike, but I don't pay insurance on them.

well if ur close to bein 16 and gettin close to bein able to drive, then tell them that if ur driving and something serious happens(car crash) or even if the vehicle breaks down then you would be able to call for help. thats the reason my parents got me and my bro and sis phones when we were 16.
