No, steelhead will very, very rarely hit on the surface of the water. Some people think they do because they "jump", but they are actually porpusing.

because not many people here look on the fishing forum, etc. why do you post pictures of you and your girlfriend, or your truck, or a turkey instead of the off season or turkey forums?

Buckhunter we bought new line for leaders, my brother bought a fly fishing pole
, i made sure he bought a spawn sucker fly, i bought some rooster tails, 1/6th oz i beleive in fire tiger and Rainbow. I'm gonna have to go back and get some more. I went with 1/6th oz because thats the size the package said was good for steelhead. I also bought some jigs that we can tip with maggots. Trying to follow your advice to a T.

Sounds good AH, the next 3 days will be the best 3 days of fishing around here for Steelehead, and I won't get to go. Last night, I fought one fish for 22 minutes... Biggest fish I have ever had on and it snapped me off. I was devistated.
