My sons got himself a girllllllllfriernd..
And they want to go to the movies tonight..
I believe in trusting anybody until provin othertwise.
I want to see safe at home by a reasonable time at night,
but not a time where he feels embarrased..
What is a reasonable time for him to be back at?
Sometime between 10:00 - 10:30pm and do your parents slip ya money to make it special and how much..

Jeff: First off how old is your son? How far is it to the movies? Is he ddriving? And most importantly - what do you feel is a proper time for curfew

Never dated, never been a partier, been homeschooled all my life and the only place I have any interest in going to that I will be back late is my hunting buddy's house, so I have never had a curfew.

I've no curfew... but if I was taking a girl out for the first time, I'd say 10:30 or 11:00would be reasonable.

He's 16, No he won't be driving, I'm paying for the cab fare
Theater is about a 5 min drive,1/2 hour walk but because its night and winter I spring for a cab to take them.
Personally 10:00,10:30 at the latest,
I'm kinda hopin her dad will step in and set the time......
This is the first time I've had to do this, so I don't want to
come acroos being to unreasonable.
I will give her parents a call later to make sure were all on the same page.

Well im 17 and my weekday curfew is 11 and my weekend curfew is 12:30

Well since im 20 i dont have a curfew enmore. But mine used to be 10 on school nights and 12 on nights i didnt have school the next day. now im usually coming home as my dads leaving for work or i just stay at my G/Fs house. What time dose the movie get done? If he is taking a cab give him a 30-45 mins to get home if he is going to be late because of waiting for the cab tell him to call and let you know. As for giving him money that is completely up to you. Movies are expensive any more. Last time i went it cost me about $40 for me and my G/F. You could always do it the really safe way and drop them off and pick them up when the movie is over. I know i would have loved that when i was 16.

Ya i would say definetly take the cab! im sure the most emabarising thing that could happen is getting a ride from mommy or daddy! i never really had a curfew! my mom had the innocent till proven guilty thing with me as well! but i always had to call and check in at certain times! now college life, she doesnt really worry bout me (at least not htat i know of). will he get in the cab and pick her up, or how will she get to your house? i would say 20 bucks should be resonable on top of cab fare. if you feel less so be it. but that will mean you basically paid for the tickets, and he will have to buy her anything she needs. that way you give him the hint that dateing is expensive, and to consider that for the future!
