Whats your favorite Battle/Assault Rifle?

I'm not sure whether you could call a city boy or a country boy. I really don't hear myself having a southern accent, but whenever I go up north or out west, everyone says its very strong. I live in a small city, but my family owns 600+ acres out in the sticks, and I'm there more than I'm at home.

Now that you mention carrying things in your truck, here's what in mine: duck calls hanging from the rearview mirror (shouldn't leave your calls in your truck... my mistake), my duck hat on the dashboard, wrenches in my door holders, gloves, snake boots, a couple dip cans, gatorade bottles, my cb radio, 2 jackets, some white t shirts, socks, duct tape, my handy dandy slim jim, a whole bunch of change, I forgot to take out my waders, tons of tools, various kinds of rifle and shotgun shells, some scope rings, bungie cords, cans and garden hoses (I have no idea how those got there), and alot of other things. Every now and then I'll find duck feathers in there [:-]

My husband converted an SKS to an "assault rifle" by mounting it on one of those black folding stocks. (An SKS is, I'm told, more or lessballistically equivalent to a .30-30.)
But it just didn't feel right so he put it back on the wooden stock. Naturally, it'snow no longer a dangerous "assault rifle."
We're in the process of refinishing the stock with oil. It looks pretty nice so far and it's kinda fun to shoot.
