I had to take a hunter safety course to get my hunting license. They covered stuff that daddy already had taught me, but it was good to hear it again. I think the safety rules are very important especially identifying your target and knowing what is behind your target. It all even applies to archery.

PAY ATTENTION!!!! You might have herd all the stuf over and over but they wouldnt say it so many times if its not important. ANd remember that a gun can easily kill sobe sure you want to destroywhat your pointing it at and know whats behind your target. And the Number 1 rule, UNLOADED GUNS KILL MORE PEOPLE THEN LOADED GUNS!!!!! Always check thats the gun us unloaded dont ever trust what you think or someone says. If you know you put a gun down 5 mins ago and it was unloaded still check when you pick it up again.

When I took that class they said the #1 rule was always keep the gun pointed in a safe direction. Makes more sense to me than making sure it's unloaded. Making sure it's unloaded ws #2 I think.

MOHunter, I know the number 1 rule is keep your gun pointed in a safe direction but ive had 3 people i knew and talked to that were shot by unloaded guns so thats a big thing to me.
