Up here in MI, it has been a weird winter thus far. With minimal snow and ice, it has hampered all my fishing oppurunities. We haven't got on the ice once yet!! I thought it would knock down the rabbit hunting, but we have been doing spectacular. If my calculations are correct, me and my friend have shot about 55 this winter. My beagle is doing fantastic. Deer hunting season has wrapped up, so the scouting begins (year round of course). So that's all I've got fellas.

When school gets out I'm going to start scouting. I'd rather be out all year but I go to school in the city and hunt out in the middle of nowhere. I went ice fishing in northern minnesota and did really good over winter break. Next year is going to be the first year I scout cause I want a nice buck this year. I usually hunt a spot with many does and shoot about 3 but I never see anything but does and spikes. My only buck so far was a 1 year old 8-point that I shot my first year. I should have let it walk though. I was shaking so bad and didn't know what to do so I just shot.

Well next year I can get my licenses and such for ontario's hunter apprentiship program (you need to be 12 I'm 11) and finally start to hunt. I don't really scout at all and I can go fishing and heck maybe I will.

Well so far ive been out ice fishing quite abit already, as for the scouting its still too cold to do scouting i tend to put that off untill Spring time, pretty much the same time im shed hunting, as for hunting i havent been out for any coyotes yet but im thinking of heading out soon, and thats about it for me so far.

fishing has bean awsome we are catching about 35-40 perrch about the time school gets out to about the time it gets dark out in minnesota. and about 1or 2 walleyes a night. and a couple of days ago my dad caught a 29 inch slimer or northern but the slot on ottertail is 30 inches.
