You guys hunting with .22's, do you still hunt the rabbits? How do you usually hunt them?

Squirrel mostly. Because hunting rabbits without a dog can really suck. Otherwise I enjoy rabbit hunting alot more. 12guage number 6 or 4 (hard to find 5 around here). Or 22 for squel. Never tried a 22 for rabbits. Sidenote: As a rule I usually use 7 1/2 shot for clays and doves. Couple days ago I went squirrel hunting. All I had were high brass 7.5. Figured I'd be alright since leaves and all were gone. The thing I hate most happened. Second squirrel I shot I stayed put for a few minutes afterwards to see if any of his buddies had been hideing. When I go to pick him (her actually) he was still breathing and trying to crawl away when I came up. Ground was too soft to stomp his head so I ended up cutting his neck the best I could. He suffered the whole time I was waiting for some of his buddies to be curious. I later counted and best I can tell he was hit with 4 pellets. One in his neck two on his body and the 4th must've just grazed his head. I'd rather miss completely with a less dense pattern than for that trash to happen.

im not too sure about that. where i live, we find a field and have three or four guys and stomp on all the dense brush in the headrow, it works out fine.
