I don't hunt from an stand, much less a place to use one around here. If i'm doing any kind of hunting that requires me to sit there for long periods of time, i'll just write but keeping my eye open too

I don't have the patience to sit in a stand. I prefer to spot and stalk.

hope you guys are in a blind...deer can see little hands moving from a long distance!

im 21 and i still get bored so i bring this handheld electronic solitaire game. keep my hands down below the top of the blind where they are hidden and i can stay on stand all day just by playing the game and looking around every 2-3 minutes or so.

if it wasnt for that game i never would have stayed in the stand until 11 am last year when i killed this buck

yep i sleep, but the other day, it was freezing and windy and it would have been a miracle to see a deer, so i took out the lighter in my pack and started burning stuff....

Ditto. I have never hunted from a stand before. I always ground hunt and I mix it up with staying in one spot and spotting and stalking. The good thing with ground hunting is that if you see a deer a ways off, you can easily go after it.
