All I know is my Dad does not lie. Yeah so my Dad got 2 bears this opening day. One of the bears is a great story. So my dad was up in his tree stand and he hasnt seen anything all morning. now its light out. He hears something crunching around near his stand so he doesnt move. About a half an hour passes and he hears a crunching again and so a black bear comes walking out in from of him. He waits. And then he shoots. The bear starts to Drag himself down into private property. so my dad shoots again. And then two more times. So hes still dragging himself. my Dad gets down from his tree stand. Runs down to his quad. Races down to the camp because he RAN OUT OF BULLETS. One of his hunting buddies said he jumped over the river he was going so fast. So he runs into the camp Waking up my brother grabes a handful of bullets put em in his pocket gets back on the quad and then races down to his stand. Shoots him again and kills him. He weighed 195. But the funny thing is that my dad paid last april 1000 dollars to go to cananda to go black bear hunting and came back with nothing. And now paid 100 dollars just for foos for the week up at our friends camp and comes back with 2 beautiful bears.

that's awful ironic.....

Dang your dads a brave man I would never hunt bear with only 3 bullets on me I would bring at least six 4 good measure

Good story and sounds like a good hunt minus the lack of ammo
