RE: Elk Rifles

I have a tikka T3 stainless lite in 7mm Rem MAg that would be a perfect elk hunting gun. only a little over 6 lbs with scope, and is one of the flattest shooting guns out there. I would easily pick the 7mm if trying to take an elk at 300-400 yards just because of the flatness of the shot and less need to compensate. Plus, it can push a 175 grain bullet close to 3000 feet per second, and can push the 160's at 3000. Recoil is not much more than a 30-06 which most people will say. I'll admit i flinched liike mad the first time shooting it, but after 3 times at the range im not flinching at all.

the tikka is a sleek, light, and in the perfect caliber. GO GET IT

.270 w/150grain is a good choice. 30-.06 , and .308 are good too.
