About the KY elk tag thingy I am thinking about getting it and if i dont get drawn for it I might go to a county where it is LEGAL for a deer hunter to take the Elk and try a lil elk hunting. May be like looking for a needle in the hay stack but it would be fun..
yeah i was thinking that last night when i was looking on the kdfw website.

yeah i hadn't thought about doing that until i read all of the stuff about the elk hunting on the sight and thought about that. but of course you have to wonder how many others have thought about doing this too[&:]but it would definately be an option if you weren't chosen. i'll have to remember that. i think i'm gonna apply for it next year.

yeah that's very true. i'm used to the western part of ky but i've never been to the eastern part. but i have been to eastern tennessee and western sc so i know about the mountains. i'm pretty sure the eastern part is probably alot like lbl. it's some seriously rough stuff. i couldn't even imagine hauling a small hog out much less an elk. but it sure would be alot of fun. where is mcreary county just wondering. i'm not too familiar with the rest of the state other than the western part.

Well my dream hunt would be anywhere up north. (Im from FL). A nice cold day but not 2 cold. With a light snow fall going after bear, or elk.

I think I would either like to go to Alaska for a moose and dall sheep hunt or Wyoming for an elk and mule deer hunt.
