RE: How to convince her ?

Well, if you do get her in the woods do a type of hunting that's exciting, like squirrel hunting or turkey hunting. Getting up at 4 or 5 to go sit still for 6 hours in 30 degree weather isn't the easiest thing to get girls to do...I got one to go deer hunting with me last year and I don't think she'll ever go back out in the woods. lol

My mind belongs to my work...
My heart belongs to my family...

But my soul...belongs to the woods.

RE: How to convince her ?

I'd say take her hunting with you honestly, either dove, quail or whatever, its all good and might just work. Other then that don't try to force it on her because that wouldn't be good.

RE: How to convince her ?

i agree deer hunting probably isnt the best thign to start her of with something exciting will be the thing to get her hooked, and make it as comfortable for her as you can, women like that....i think......

"She said if I hit that fishin hole today, she's be packin all her things and she'd, be gone by noon....I'm gonna miss her, when I get home."

RE: How to convince her ?

go squirrel hunting and give her your most accurate gun so she cant miss and give her lots of shots that will make her have fun and want to go out again:)

RE: How to convince her ?

Dont get her to actually harvest an animal at first... Just get her out in the woods with you while hunt and see if she enjoys that first... Maybe after she sees that and how much fun that it really is, she might decide to try it herself.

RE: How to convince her ?

Turkey hunting would be a real exciting way to bring someone into the sport of hunting. You can call and hear the turkeys gobble back which is so exciting and you actually know somthing is around. Deer hunting would not be the best way to introduce her to hunting because somtimes it can get boring for some people and that may turn them off from hunting.

RE: How to convince her ?

an always get her to start shooting and get her in to that and
maybe it will be easier to convince her.

Archeryboy11 07-09-2003 09:07 PM

RE: How to convince her ?

you cant make her do anything she doesnt want to but you can always get
her to start shooting and maybe she will do it willingly.

RE: How to convince her ?

Keep the action fast and exciting, a few hours on a deer stand and you could ruin it. Take her small game hunting or dove hunting, maybe even try bowfishing for carp if you bowhunt, that will provide lots of action.

Daffy 08-04-2003 08:34 AM

RE: How to convince her ?

you have to give her the time to make up her own mind...If you do what ret3006 says and she does not want to at that time you will never get her out again...and she may resent you as well... If you give her the time and when she does make up her mind and likes it and says " why did I not do this before " then it was all her decision... the Ball would be in her court.....
you could also ask her if she wants to go rodent hunting with you...see if she is willing to do that and work from there....:):)
