We have a Groundhog that has it's hole under our barn and it's starting to damage the barn so we need to find some way kill it.

smoke it out... you know you could always trap it and relocate it high up in the woods somewhere... just cause its bein a pain don't mean you gotta kill it... i'm sure you're a pain to lots of animals but they don't kill you... DEC would lend you a trap and they'd take it off your hands if you didn't have the time or the want to take it someplace else

don't confuse me for PeTA... i'm the farthest from it... i just don't see senseless killing... what give hunters a bad name

Good idea, I do have live trap. It just doesn't come out much when I'm around and then it is very wary and runs back in it's hole quickly. But, what to bait the live trap with?????

horse feed or sweet cow feed works best for me when i'm trying to get them out... fill the trip with a big pile and throw some clovers in there... he'll be in there lickity split

Live traps dont work that well with ground hogs. Just kill it! I just keep a screen out of a window and slide it open real slowly then POW!!!!
