As long as you are responsible and had supervision, that is all that matters

Yeah I started shooting when I was really young too. I think it is important to teach kids how to use firearm and how to be responsible with them at a very young age.

i wouldn't use that exact wording...but yeah, i think its fine. i started when i wasn't much older and even before then my dad was teaching me to be responsible with a firearm.

As long as your old enough to realize the consequences of a firearm then your old enough to use them. Young children like under 5 and maybe a little older may not be able to fully grasp the fact that a firearm can kill you instantly etc.

As long as u are safe and really careful it shouldn't really matter how old you are.

What does she know? Nothing! Keep shooting, the younger you start out the more responsible you are with a gun later in life.

They are right to some degree. A 5 year old kid shooting is too young, but not with supervision.

that's what matters. just because you're young doesn't mean you aren't responsible. it all depends on the person. i have to agree some people shouldn't be shooting at that age but it you are responsible it shouldn't make a difference. i didn't start shooting that early personally but i did when i was 9 and at that point i took the hunters safety course to prove it and i really think doing it at that age really helps. but that's just me.
